Point-of-Sale Signage
The Toasty Bears & Friends are cute and cuddly, and the products in the Christine James Home Comfort Collection are beautiful and elegant, but customers many not recognize that these products have heat, cold and aroma therapy benefits unless you tell them. Reminding people that Sootheze products have three therapies in one will help them to understand their versatility and also create a desire to buy. Our point-of-sale signage is designed to help you do just that.
We have created eye-catching, informative sales signs with marketing messages that highlight our three types of therapies:
The current sign cards, which are good year round, depict Christine James products on one side and Toasty Bears & Friends on the other. We are including one of each of our 3 sizes in each order currently being shipped. Throughout the year we will distribute additional "seasonal" cards for the major holidays.
We are also making available a clear, freestanding, acrylic holder to help you display the card in an effective and appealing way. The holder will be provided at no charge upon request and will be shipped with your next order. Holders will only be provided with an order.

Sales Staff Training
Taking the informational concept one step further, we have found that sales staff who have received training about Sootheze products are much better prepared to answer customer questions and make the sale. We suggest staff have knowledge of the following:- general heat, cold and aroma therapy practices and benefits
- some of the herbs in Sootheze products and how they are used in aroma therapy
- knowledge that by design, flaxseed holds heat and cold better than traditional ice and heat pads
- how to warm or cool Sootheze products
- ideas for how to use the products and an understanding that Sootheze items make excellent gifts for a variety of holidays and are also perfect for special personal occasions such as anniversaries, weddings, birthdays, and new moms.
Displays
Sootheze products are really fun to organize in displays. Customers tell us that each Toasty Bear & Friend has its own personality, and they can be placed in different poses to enhance their characters and catch a customer’s attention. In addition, they make your store smell nice and add classic and colorful decorating accents. Sootheze products sell best when customers can touch them and experience the heat, cold and aroma therapy for themselves. Here are some display ideas we have picked up in our conversations with you.- Heat a Toasty Bear or other stuffed animal in the microwave at the beginning of a shift or place on a heating pad. Place it by the register or where customers will have easy access.
- Encourage staff to use the products while going about their daily activities. Customers are sure to ask questions and the employees will enjoy the therapeutic features.
- Sootheze product group displays are great and you can mix the different animals for a colorful arrangement.
- Many retailers have spread the animals around the store in fun and whimsical poses -- on top of exercise balls, as bookshelf ends, in baskets and trunks, in pockets of jackets -- creating unique displays is half the fun.
- Most importantly, allow customers to handle the products. One squeeze of a warm, cuddly bear or bunny and the customer won’t want to put it down.
Promotions
Seasonal promotions work well with Sootheze products. Bears at Christmas and bunnies at Easter are some of the most obvious and successful pairings. Here are some more ideas you shared with us.- Christine James Home Comfort Collection products are great gift ideas for Mother’s Day, Valentines and weddings.
- The Toasty Wild Animal Collection and the flannel Hot & Cold Therapy Pads are popular with men and work well especially well at Father’s Day and Valentine’s.
- The Toasty Chamois Bunnies and Bears come in pastel colors and are perfect for springtime.
- Summer is a great time to promote the Toasty Beach Collection, and a Toasty Collar, put in the freezer for a few hours, will be an easy sell on a hot August day.
